I booked a room for a few days to get away from hurricane Irma. When the hurricane shifted and Orlando was going to take a beating I tried to cancel but was told that because I missed the 3-day advance cancellation deadline, I would be charged for the first night regardless.

I understand the cancelation fee but in the event of a hurricane? Come on Westgate- have some compassion for the folks just trying to get away from the hurricane.

It appears that you did not do due dilligence. Hurricane Irma was tracked by the weather news for at least 10 days


I tried to rebook due to the hurricane, and I had to pay a $100 rebooking fee. Even though there was a hurricane hitting Orlando. You win worst customer service ever in hospitality.
